The Research Institute for Semiconductor Engineering (RISE) consists of three divisions: Semiconductor Strategic Research, Nano-Device Research, and Interdisciplinary Research, in addition to the Research Support and Facilities Operation Office. Overall, the institute promotes cutting-edge research and human resource development through the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology’s (MEXT’s) Research Center for Biomedical Engineering (RCBE) and the MEXT’s Initiative to Establish Next-generation Novel Integrated Circuits Centers (X-NICS). The institute also supports researchers via the Advanced Research Infrastructure for Materials and Nanotechnology (ARIM), providing access to clean room facilities at Hiroshima University. In addition, the Setouchi Semiconductor Consortium focuses on developing students and professionals through industry–government–academia collaboration. As the importance of the semiconductor industry continues to grow globally, our institute remains committed to advancing research and development (R&D) and human resource cultivation for the industry’s future. We greatly appreciate your continued support and guidance.
